India – poised to be the most populous country in the world, is also home to the most diversified strata of society anywhere on this globe. Such diversity brings up equally diverse social challenges that needs a lot more beyond, a responsive public policy. In this context, the 2-year specialized program in master’s in social work at Chanakya University is designed to create well rounded professionals with a deep sense of social and civic responsibility who can understand and intervene into the ever-diverse social challenges. This program comprises courses that prepare students through a stimulating classroom experience while complimenting them, are equally strong practicum component spread across all the semesters. Research methods in social sciences is one of the important required courses in this program. This course helps social work student to apply scientific approach to study of social problems while carrying out her/his dissertation/ research. The dissertation experience makes our future social work professional not only compassionate and responsive, but see the problems of society in the right lens of objectivity.

Social work practitioners that Chanakya University aims to graduate will
