    The Librarian should have a deep knowledge about emerging technologies and will use that understanding as a foundation for leading the library towards serving the current and future needs of Chanakya University’s students, faculty and other staff.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Provide vision and leadership for the library in support of the University’s mission and goals.

    • Plan, develop, and deliver high quality library services that are accessible to all undergraduate and graduate students.

    • Establish a process of ongoing review, assessment and improvement of library programs, resources and services that will evolve along with student needs and expectations.

    • Develop an effective and collaborative leadership team within the library.

    • Collaborate with the directors of the university’s academic and student support services to leverage strengths and expand opportunities to address student needs.

    • Manage the library’s operations with a focus on ongoing improvements within a stable but not expensive budgetary context.

    • Oversee budget and operations to ensure the quality and integrity of all processes.

    • Coordinate the library’s Access Services functions, including personnel, policies and procedures.

    • To facilitate the students, faculty, and staff with all the literature that may be needed for their scholarly activities.

    • To manage library as well as digital library of the college.

    • Arranges to prepare the library budget and policies relating to the library/Digital library.

    • To encourage widespread usage of available information access facilities.

    • To be continuously in touch with the students and faculty to understand/assess their needs of Books/Journals/Magazines/CDs etc. and apprise the Dean, Academics about the same for procurement.

    • Ensures procurement of books, CD-ROMs, Software, Journals etc., which are essential and/or recommended by the faculty.

    • Provides URL links/resources for information on various study material.

    • Seeks suggestions / feedback on databases used.

    • Provides digital library access from anywhere on campus.

    • Establishes specialized search facilities for faculty’s teaching and research needs.

    The person incharge shall be responsible for building the sports infrastructure for the University, spearhead the promotion of sports, culture and organize activities in the field of sports in the University. He /She should cultivate excellence in various domains of sports and also to promote a spirit of healthy competition. He/She should play the role of a wellness/fitness coach through interventions like yoga, track and field activities.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Creates a vision/plan for the PE department for the University, creation of budgets, infrastructure, approvals and other required means for the smooth conduct of the department.

    • Ensures smooth conduct of sports.

    • Preparation of sports calendar for each academic year on the basis of university calendar.

    • Educate and encourage students about utilizing the available sports facilities and equipment’s.

    • Conduct classes of physical activities such as yoga etc for mass participation

    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching Sports coaching /Sports science / Physical education or related subjects in recognised university/college, of which 2 years should be at Director or Head of Department Level.

Additionally, procurement manager responsibilities include reviewing past purchases made by the company.     An Admin Manager is responsible for leads, oversees and manages all aspects of administration in the upkeep of infrastructure, facility management, safety & security and the PR & liaisoning with the neighbouring civil society & government authorities while maintaining a harmonious working environment in the University and its surroundings.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Is the primary custodian of all matters relating to infrastructure management, house- keeping, security services, transport & conveyance, travel agencies, general maintenance etc.
    • As the custodian of the college property records, manages the filing, storage and security of documents.
    • Liaise with Procurement department to purchase the required assets for the University
    • Oversees and manages the transport operations and ensures provision of convenient, safe and hassle-free transport to the students and staff as per the college policy and in conformance with RTA rules.
    • Makes logistic arrangements for College Day, Graduation Day and other important functions such as FDPs, placements, conferences, BoS meetings, Governing Body meetings, Academic Council meetings, faculty selection interviews, Industrial visits, and such other events.
    • Liaisons with consulting architects/engineers for translating University’s needs into specific requirements.
    • Co-ordinates provision of and maintains, the campus infrastructure, installations, office equipment like class room, staff rooms, laboratories, washrooms, electrical installations, RO plants, borewells, ETP, furniture, campus green cover, garden & landscaping, transport vehicles, office equipments (telephones, photo copiers, Fax machines, Computers, Printers,  etc.) , CC Cameras, Water Coolers, Air conditioners, 0ther electrical/ mechanical installations etc.
    • Ensures campus security and safety of personnel with security service providers, comprising monitoring of the work of security staff, enforcing the terms of the agreement, and compliance with the instructions issued by the University from time to time.
    • Oversees the care and upkeep of buildings, grounds, offices etc.
    • Co-ordinates with the Registrar in the day-to-day administrative functions of the college, and in developing policies, procedures, and systems which ensure productive and efficient operations.
    • Monitors CC TV and other surveillance equipment, if any, to guard against vandalism, 
    • break-ins and promptly reports such incidents to management, and to Police, with proper approvals.
    • Oversees canteen services, administers canteen service contract
    • Oversees hostel administration
    • Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison with public, State Government departments, local bodies, MROs, Police, Election Commission, student organizations, and other entities for administrative information about the college.
    • Co-ordinates disposition/resolution of individual problems and disputes involving students, staff, faculty, or members of the general public as they arise.
    • Manages distribution of incoming mails, and dispatch of out-going mails.
    • Prepares capital and operating budgets for Administration department, exercises budgetary control to regulate expenditure to the levels of provision in the approved budget.
    • Monitors and controls the repairs and maintenance expenses towards vehicles, furniture, sanitary fittings, plumbing work, etc.
    • Keeps an inventory of office equipment and furniture, identifies them with unique asset nos., co-ordinates annual verification of the assets.
    • Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints.

    The Security Manager manages safety and security programs and related activities, ensuring compliance with government and University policies, directives and procedures; develops and directs University’s safety and security strategy of all its resources- Men, Material, Installations and its premises; oversees the implementation of efforts to minimize loss; enhances security and creates business opportunity through the control of risk; trains, supervises, and coordinates the activities of the safety and security teams

    • Manages and trains security guards.

    The Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the senior members; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects.

    The person in charge for IT Network and systems has to ensure the stable operation of the University’s entire computer network and systems. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware and communication links. He should also be able to manage/collaborate with all vendors, principles pertaining to IT industry.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Perform network design and capacity planning.
    • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
    • Troubleshoots staff complaints
    • Installs and maintains network file servers and network operating systems; ensures that backup copies of all files are routinely made and securely stored at separate location; maintains system documentation.
    • Provides second level technical support to users concerning network system operations.
    • Diagnoses problems with network equipment and performs equipment repair or upgrades when appropriate.
    • Installs, configures, and maintains LoB and software to be accessed from file servers.

    Responsible for the activities related to university transport and travel arrangements of staff. This role also involves planning, scheduling liaison for transport arrangements including daily commute to University campus, arranging air tickets, hotel and other needs of staff who travel on official duty.

    • Track cabs/bus at pick up and drop time, help cab/bus users report to University on time.
    • Create routes for pick up and drop of staff

    Head – Closures for UG & PG program

    The incumbent will be responsible for the sales and business development functions of the University UG and PG Programs.

    Roles & responsibilities

    • Collaborating with the Director Admissions & Marketing and other stake holders of admissions for the growth of the organization along with building a culture that supports employee and student experience outcomes that are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of CU.

    • Building a team of highly motived second line of sales closures (and below) that is enabled to admissions closure by building a culture of collaboration, innovation, and outcome.

    • Working closely with heads of Marketing, Corporate Relations, Career Services with support from Human Resource, IT, Finance, and the University Academia to develop and implement admissions drive

    • Understanding admissions performance by analysing data, market trends; projecting demand, resource allocation, manpower efficiency & deployment, cost optimization and accordingly managing targets and related growth.

    • Developing and executing program specific admissions closure plans to achieve enrolment targets and to expand the organization’s customer (students) base.

    • Spotting market opportunities regularly for new customers (students).

    Senior Counsellors/ Counsellor Sales Closure

    The incumbent will play an important role between the institution and the students/parent community. He/she must project the right kind of attitude so that the student/parent/client feels confident about getting a query addressed. Sr. counselor also tries and builds an instant rapport with the parent /student so that it becomes easier to understand them to their needs and converting the lead to application and to admission. To provide the support in BTL activities, ATL and other related admissions and marketing activities

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Handling Category 1 & Category 2 lead from lead to final conversion.

    • Inform students about the courses offered and the tuition fees. Also informing the students about the scholarship’s offered after evaluating their academics.

    • Advice students about the programs offered, admission procedure, eligibility and costs involved. During admission process, every student is evaluated on the basis of his/her academic performance and extracurricular activities as well.

    • Provide assistance to the students to complete the enrolment forms.

    • Analyse the applications of prospective students based on standard admission policies.

    • Provide clarifications to student’s queries in a professional manner.

    • Follow-up with students for any enquiries through direct meetings, live chat, phone calls and emails.

    • Arranging the Interview for the paid Application of the students to understand their objectives and background and arranging the information sessions.

    • Sending the Offer letter to the interviewed students with fee structure and supporting loan documents.

    • Following up with students by informing them on the offer letter sent and congratulating them on clearing the interview also welcoming them to the university campus & University.
