• Description:
The Profession of Social Worker is concerned with intervening in social dysfunction that causes discomfort to either an individual or the community or most often both. It is a very demanding and multi-dimensional profession that requires a rigorous, compassionate and variedly skilled professionals. This 4-year program in bachelor’s in social work develops young professionals with enthusiasm and voluntary spirit who are equally well versed and skilled at intervening in any type of social dysfunction. With its unique mentorship program from experienced activists and excellent academics, Chanakya University provides an excellent enabling environment for a young social work enthusiast to undertake this adventurous journey in this fascinating area of study. The program offers a blend of engaging classroom session with an extensively diverse field work experience to carve a professional out of the young men and women who have an aptitude for social work and concern for societal issues. Students in this program are also familiarized with new research dimensions especially keeping focus on the Indian socio-cultural context and perspective.
